The Benue State University branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its strike action.
It was gathered that the union declared a total, compressive, and indefinite strike on May 26, 2023, following issues with the university’s management.
The university’s two campuses were subsequently put under lock and key, preventing students and members of staff from gaining entrance.
However, a circular released on Monday by the registrar of the institution, Dr Mfaga Modom, urged all categories of students to resume on Wednesday, June 21.
It reads: “Following the suspension of the strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU-BSU, the Benue State University has reopened for academic activities
