One person, identified as Abdullahi, was killed in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, in a cult clash on Wednesday, preparatory to the yearly 7/7 anniversary of the confraternities.
The incident occurred at Ile-Kewu, Oke-Apomu quarters of Ilorin metropolis on at about 9 pm.
DAILY POST reports that the cultists had targeted the elder brother of the deceased, Ibrahim, but met Abdullahi, the younger brother and shot him dead.
There was confusion in the area as a result of the bloody attack by the cultists invasion.
The deceased was reportedly buried on Thursday morning at the Muslim cemetery in Ilorin off Asa Dam road.
In response to inquiries by DAILY POST in Ilorin on Thursday, spokesman of the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said “the command has no report of the incident.
