Enugu: Labour Party’s violence claims malicious, grossly infantile – PDP

The Enugu State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has knocked the National Vice Chairman, South-East, of Labour Party, Mr Innocent Okeke for reportedly maligning the ruling party in the State.

This was contained in a statement signed by Chief Jude Ugwu, the PDP Publicity Secretary in the State.

He was reacting to a media publication where Ugwu had alleged politically motivated violence against the Labour Party.

However, Ugwu described the publication as “a misleading, spurious and incendiary piece” done with an intent to impugn the hard-earned reputation of the Enugu State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to the statement: “Silence would have been golden, but we need to deconstruct the strange garb in which these repeated lies have been cloaked, lest the public be deceived. Such unfounded and outlandish claims, are at best desperately misleading, grossly infantile and inviolably betrays an echo of deafening mediocrity. It is evidently an affront to the people’s collective sensibilities in the face of the nation’s multifaceted security concerns.
