President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he is pained by the continuous disruptions in tertiary education system in the country.
Consequently, the President has called on the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to suspend the over seven months strike and reopen the universities while negotiations and efforts are made towards attending to their concerns within the limit of the available resources.
President Buhari in his address to mark Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day Anniversay promised to pursue an electoral system and processes that guarantee election of leaders by citizens.
