Task force shuts down five filling station in Jigawa State

The Jigawa State Task Force on Petroleum products has shut down five filling stations for tampering with their metres and engaging in some activities to shortchange customers.

The Taskforce Chairman, Colonel Muhammad Alhassan (Rtd) stated this while briefing newsmen after inspecting some filling stations at Kiyawa, Gumel, and Jahun local government areas.

He said the inspection is to check the activities of the filling stations to ensure they abide by the laid down rules.

Alhassan explained that the Taskforce has warned more than thirty (30) filling stations and shut down five (5) for engaging in dubious activities
