Controversial Nollywood actor, Olarewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, on Friday, told an Ikeja Special Offences Court that he was acting a script with the minor he was accused of defiling.
He made this shocking revelation while being led in evidence by the defence counsel, Dada Awosika (SAN).
Baba Ijesha disclosed to the court that the foster mother of the minor, Ms Damilola Adekoya, a comedian also known as Princess, had called and requested him to be part of the movie production.
In his words,
“On April 19, 2021, Princess sent me a message that she wanted to start a production and she would like me to play the role of a lover boy which I replied ‘okay’. She said I was to play the role of a lover boy, adding that she wanted to surprise people that I can also play normal roles. She said the story is about r@pe and she wanted to tell the story in another dimension,”
His defence counsel tendered before the court, a WhatsApp conversation between Princess and the defendant, which was admitted into evidence by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo.
The embattled actor said he asked Princess for the movie location but she told him to come over to her house.
“Before I entered, Princess met me at the balcony that the movie production was a Lagos State project, adding that the state wanted her to be the face of ‘anti child m0lest@tion.’

A Known Trump appointee on Friday has accused the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of being a “puppet” and said Russia has been too gentle and linent in their attack on Ukraine.
In his interview with Fox Business’ Stuart Varney, retired Col. Douglas Macgregor who Donald Trump the former president of US appointed as a senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense said that there was nothing “heroic” about Zelensky, who has led his country’s resistance against invading Russian forces.
“The first five days Russian forces I think frankly were too gentle,” he said. “They’ve now corrected that. So, I would say another ten days this should be completely over.”
He said that the war could have “ended days ago” if Zelensky had accepted what the Russians have sought, which he said is a “neutral Ukraine.”
“I think Zelensky is a puppet and he is putting huge numbers of his own population in unnecessary risk,” Macgregor expressed.
He laughed when Varney was asked if he thought Zelensky was a hero for standing up and fighting.
“I don’t see anything heroic about the man,” Macgregor said. “I think the most heroic thing he could do right now is come to terms with reality. Neutralize Ukraine.”
He further said: “This is not a bad thing. A neutral Ukraine would be good for us and Russia. It would create the buffer that frankly both sides want but he’s I think being told I think to hold on and trying to drag this out, which is tragic for the people that have to live through this.”
A woman identified as Ozioma Orakwe,27 years old,from Agulu,in Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambara State has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police for murder.
In her confession,she stated that after killing him,she hanged him so that people will think that he committed suicide.
The suspect was alleged to have killed a 75-year-old relative,Mr Martin Orakwe after they had a little misunderstanding.
It could be recalled that a man had earlier been reported last week Wednesday, to have committed suicide without any reason for the action, however, investigations has revealed that the deceased was framed up and hanged to create an impression that he committed suicide by Ozioma Orakwe.
While the suspect was paraded by the Anambra state Police Command, she confessed to the crime and blamed devil for her actions.While speaking to newsmen on Friday,
“she said, the deceased and I had a little misunderstanding which later resulted to fight.I was angry and didn’t know when I hit him with a glass cup in my hand.Unfortunately he lost his life on the process, I was afraid people would judge me for killing him, that was why I decided to hang him and pretend as if he committed suicide”.
The state police command spokesperson,DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court when the investigation is concluded

Nollywood screen diva Victoria Kolawole has said that she was defrauded by a man, who claimed to be a fan of hers at a filling station she had gone to buy fuel.
The actress disclosed that she had been on the fuel queue when she sighted the “Innocent-looking guy” who claimed to be her fan and offered to help her get fuel in a keg. She gave him money and the keg, unfortunately, he never returned.
Sharing her experience on Instagram, she wrote,
“So I went to the filling station today but too much queue so I couldn’t come down from the car 🤦♀️ luckily for me I saw this innocent looking guy, he came to me and said he’s my fan🤣 he promised to help me get the fuel so I gave him money and my keg, still gave him extra money 🤦♀️ till now I no see the guy or the fuel.”

The autopsy carried out to ascertain the cause of d£ath of 19-months old pupil of Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School, Asaba, Delta State, Obinna Udeze who was allegedly flogged 31 strokes of the cane by his teacher, is out and according to the report, the toddler d!ed of septic shock.
Confirming this to newsmen, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, DSP Bright Edafe, said the autopsy was conducted at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC.
”The autopsy report indicates septic shock as the cause of death. That is what I can say, for now, let the medical doctors and lawyers interpret what that means.”
According to Google, Septic shock is a severe drop in blood pressure that results in highly abnormal problems with how cells work and produce energy. Progression to septic shock increases the risk of death.
Little Obinna Udeze’s d£ath caused a nationwide outrage after it was disclosed that he died after he was allegedly flogged 31 strokes of the cane by his teacher at his school, Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary school Asaba.
After the alleged flogging, he was first taken to a hospital where he was treated for five days for ”excessive stooling and vomiting and then referred to the Federal Medical Center Asaba where he d!ed on arrival.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Tuesday, warned Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, against allowing the Supreme Court Administrator Of Imo State Hope Uzodinma to deceive him.
IPOB said Cubana Chief Priest should be aware of his dealings and not allow Governor Hope Uzodinma to deceive him into attacking its members and the Eastern Security Network, ESN.
